Dr. Larry Jacobson is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. His academic achievements are recognized with his memberships in Omicron Delta Kappa, Honor Society, Outstanding Young Men of America, and Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges.
He continued his studies successfully completing his Residency in Periodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, earning his Board Certification.
Dr. Jacobson became a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, School of Dentistry. His passion for teaching young dentists continued in his lecturing at the University of Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico to the residents in Periodontics.
Dr. Jacobson is a former consultant in Periodontics with the United States Public Health Service, at the United States Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas. He is currently on staff at Research Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Jacobson’s appreciation of the arts, is reflected in volunteering in our community by being the Chairman of the Harriman Jewell Arts Council at William Jewell College, the Society of Fellows with the Nelson Atkins Museum and was appointed in September 2008 to the Municipal Art Commission in Kansas City, Missouri.
While finding time to volunteer, Dr. Jacobson also actively participates in a multitude of professional organizations including: Missouri Society of Periodontists, Midwest Society of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, University Dental Study Club, Greater Kansas City District Dental Society and American Dental Association.
He is the past President of: University Dental Study Club, Missouri Society of Periodontists, Greater Kansas City District Dental Society and the Midwest Society of Periodontology.
